Like a mlnlature "cathedral" set on the side of the Malvern Hills now surrounded by the Victorian Spa town of Great Malvern.
Wonderful. The most medieval stained glass in any church in the country. Recommended visit especially as the rear double door exit (now locked) was the inspiration for the wardrobe in Nania. Go outside to see one of the famous recently, lovingly restored gas lampposts just like the ones in Nania. To see the actual gas lampposts, which inspired C. S. Lewis go to Rose Bank Gardens. Here C. S. Lewis and his friend J. R. R. Tolkien saw these lampposts in the snow. Then walk along to The Unicorn Pub for the Blue Plaque to C. S. Lewis. To finish up cross the road to The Foley Arms Hotel for an excellent display of J. R. Tolkien memorabilia.
