The Foley Arms Hotel (JD Wetherspoons)

14 Worcester Rd, Great Malvern, Malvern WR14 1NP, UK – 01684 580350

A nice looking place with a Georgian theme. Reasonable room rates. I had a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. Nice staff. Bar and restaurant prices are good. There's no car park, no lift and no air conditioning, but they do tell you this before you pay, and they did put a fan in my room, as it was 28°C! Exelent location close to the centre of town and right next to the Malvern hills in the most beautiful part of Worcestershire.

Stayed in the hotel for two nights, the overall impression is very good, the bar is a typical Wetherspoons good value for money same with the hotel. There are two nice terraces with a good view. The only downside is during this summer the lack of air-condition made sleeping difficult. Whilst there is no parking on site there are a couple of public car parks near by charging £3 for 24 hours or £9 for a week. Overall a well priced hotel.

Wonderful staff. Speedy service for dinner with good quality food. Room was cleaned to a high standard and was spacious and comfortable.

Clean and comfy hotel, very good value. A short drive from Great Malvern which is lovely to explore. The hotel is opposite a retail park , including a Morrison's with a cafe if you need to eat on a budget.

The Abbey Hotel

Abbey Rd, Great Malvern WR14 3ET, UK – 01684 892332

We had our wedding , wedding breakfast and evening party here. We couldn't ask for anything more. The staff were amazing from the time I arrived the night before till the morning of departure. The room I stayed in was lovely and spacious and the food was great. Lovely hotel amazing setting and great staff.

Held my wedding here recently and it was an amazing day. From start to finish the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much for them and the organising and then carrying out of what they had to do on the day was all done in a totally professional manner. There is literally nothing I can say to fault them. The hotel itself is beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone with any event to hold or just looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights. Oh and the food! Barnard's Green, Malvern WR14 3QP, UK – 01684 575031

Village pub serving standard restaurant/pub meals and drinks reasonably priced. Large outdoor seating area for both eating and drinking. Ample parking but for you tall visitors watch your heads on the low beams.

Great pub. Friendly and helpful staff. Good range of beers and cider. Food is outstanding. You can also take your dog inside, which is a major plus point! Highly recommended.

Bakery Inn

126 Worcester Rd, Malvern WR14 1SS, UK – 01684 574465

Needed somewhere for lunch before visiting Morgan Factory. The Bakery advertised hot and cold food but It seems to be just a drinking pub with food as an extra. Nice welcome but when menu came most things we not available. Our hot food choice was down to two things only. On the positive side the coffee was good and presented nicely.

The food is excellent, well presented & reasonably priced. Friendly staff . They also have a variety well priced drinks. Overall it was a very enjoyable lunch.

The Red Lion

4 St Ann's Rd, Great Malvern WR14 4RG, UK – 01684 564787

Great beer, lovely looking Thai food and very friendly service. This is the first pub you come to after descending the hills and it is highly recommended that you visit. Outdoor seating and plenty of room inside.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and dogs welcome. Two menus (Thai and European) mean everyone is catered for.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Campsites and Caravan Parks

Blackmore Camping and Caravanning Club Site

No 2, Hanley Swan, Malvern WR8 0EE, UK – 01684 310280

This is an excellent club site The wardens are so friendly and helpful. The site is immaculate and clean. We were there for four nights and even though busy, it never felt crowded. Lovely big pitches with the choice of fully open or shaded. Great for dogs with a good dog walk and about a 20 minute walk along a good footpath yo the local village where there's a post office/grocery (closed Sat pm and all day Sun) and the Swan Inn with a lovely restaurant. The site shop is good for essentials and ice cream.

Just had 10 days on this site & will be going back in September. Lovely big pitches giving a great feeling of space. Immaculate loo blocks & really good showers. Friendly wardens. Definitely a favourite of ours.

Malvern Hills Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Malvern Hills Club Site, Blackmore End, Hanley Swan, Worcester WR8 0EE, UK – 01684 310505

Very nice Club site situated near to many places of interest. Hardstanding and grass pitches are level and easily accessible and site security is taken care of by a barrier system. My stay in May could not have been better with perfect weather. Definitely recommended for relaxation and touring in Worcestershire.

Brilliant place. Reminded me of the sites of old. Good pitches and good facilities.

Newland Meadows Malvern Campsite

Old Worcester Rd, Malvern WR13 5AY, UK – 01886 832821

Great location and great site. Level site. Good facilities and overall excellent value. So easy to get to Malvern or Worcester, bus stop is right outside. Two good pubs within walking distance and large shopping centre within a 10 min walk. Welcoming, relaxing and easy place to stay. Thanks.

A very relaxing site within walking distance of a great pub, Morrisons and a retail park. There is road noise but it can be ignored after a while. There are only two toilet/shower cubicles currently but more are being built. Drinking water and a bin at each pitch is handy and you don't have to pay for hookup if you don't need it. Owner is very friendly and accommodating.
